Some conspiracy theories can cause a lot of damage to people’s reputations, even when they’re clearly full of holes! 5. Stewart-Sanders Affair Fans of the Twilight movie saga had their hearts broken when star Kristen Stewart was spotted canoodling with director Rupert Sanders, betraying boyfriend Robert Pattinson and causing a Hollywood scandal. Sanders was working with Stewart on Snow White and the Huntsman in 2012. When Pattinson and Stewart got back together you’d think the fans would be happy right?
Wrong! Some believed the affair was a publicity stunt and even went so far as to make a video condemning the dirty business as a set up. Of course everyone’s moved on since then but the question is: who would have benefited from this bizarre arrangement? Stewart has a great career as a young actress but surely an affair like this might have seriously damaged her reputation https://casinoslots-sa.co.za/first-deposit-bonus. Pattinson has made smaller movies so he isn’t in the fame game. And as for Sanders? He wound up directing Ghost In The Shell, a major box office flop. If this was faked it was a weird career move for all concerned! 4. Mayan Calendar 2012 was going to be a pretty bleak Christmas for the world if conspiracy theorists were anything to go by. They’d been studying the ancient Mayan calendar and worked out the Earth was going to be hit by a rogue planet on Dec 21st of that year. You guys all remember that? No need to go present shopping we’re all gonna die! This planet was called Nibiru and was identified by the Sumerians, a centuries-old civilization. And for those of you wondering, no it didn’t happen! Since you’re watching this video...that’s your first clue! For years NASA has been conducting a study on Near-Earth Objects which watches the skies for signs of impending danger. We don’t depend on thousand-year-old prophecies for our safety! Clearly the Mayan prophecy debunked itself but NASA says evidence of a collision would occur at least a decade in advance and would be visible so you’d see it coming. In case you were worried! Think about that...we would have at least 10 years of warning that something was going to collide with Earth. If they decide to share it with us... NASA has also pointed out that Dec 21, 2012 represented the end of one cycle of the Mayan calendar not the end of days! Be careful when you are analyzing historical calendars! There’s no credible reason to believe we’ll be obliterated by an object falling from space and you can check the website for the Center for Near-Earth Objects which is regularly updated. Hope that clears things up! 3. Gary Busey-Nick Nolte Similarity Y’know how you look at two actors and think “Hmm, they look pretty similar. They could be twins!” Well some conspiracy theorists have taken this to a whole new level. The targets of their interest are two well-known stars, Nick Nolte and Gary Busey. Or the guys from 48 Hours and Point Break if you don’t recognize ‘em! They look alike but I wouldn’t go so far as to say they were peas in a pod. They’re a similar age and both have a history of substance abuse so that’s been used to link them together. Some have noticed Busey’s teeth are bigger than Nolte’s but others argue this is a disguise to throw people off the scent. The fact is you could line up lots of actors and claim they’re the same person. What about Amy Adams and Isla Fisher, Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer? Are Mesut Ozil and Enzo Ferrari the same person? Well, that’s a whole other theory!! 2. Hotel California Hotel California is one of the best selling albums of the Eagles. It’s been heard everywhere, including a crazy Gypsy Kings cover for ‘The Big Lebowski’ where it played over the intro scene for John Turturro’s bowling-obsessed pervert Jesus Quintana. There is a theory that the song was about Satanism and haunted places. Sure enough there’s a conspiracy theory for the track which claims it’s the work of the Devil himself! There are a few theories connected to this, but one of the most prominent concerns an abandoned church in 1969 that was used by Satan fans and dubbed ‘Hotel of California’. There are also rumours the person in the window on the 1976 album cover wasn’t there when the photo was taken adding to the supernatural vibe. All you had to do was ask the band. Unfortunately for Devil worshippers the band’s own explanation of the song debunks their ideas. ‘Hotel California’ was a metaphor for the excesses of fame and the dangers of the American Dream, but of course, you can believe what you want. 1. Solway Spaceman In May 1964 a photograph was taken of a little girl in Cumbria, near the Solway Coast in North West England. It all looks innocent enough but wait… who’s that standing behind her? The man who took the snap was Jim Templeton and he claimed not to have noticed the figure at the time. Conspiracy theorists have since jumped in and suggested a mind-boggling explanation - that the figure is in fact a ‘Solway Spaceman’ from another dimension who has been captured on film! This maybe isn’t as insane as it sounds. After all the mystery person in the frame is kinda silvery looking, like they’re in a spacesuit right? This didn’t make a whole lot of sense in the first place and it’s an easy one to debunk. For starters someone pointed out the similarity between the clothing on the figure and that of the normal looking girl in one of the other snaps. Once you start digging around it’s about as convincing as the Moon Landings. Oh come on, don’t tell us those were real…? I’m kidding, I’m kidding!! Thanks for watching!
